FREE HAMBURGER is the newest and freshest offering to the Auckland fashion photography scene .

FREE HAMBURGER is the latest fashion photography publication from Auckland photographer and all round Art fanatic and Waihekean Sam Montgomery. It is the much anticipated follow up to his highly praised and format busting 2008 publication CHILLI, BEEF AND CHEESE.

Mr Montgomery’s newest publication is a collaboration with one of New Zealand fashions Most Valuable Players, Huffer, and is designed as a free publication for distributors and stockists of Huffer Clothing.

It features up and coming local models sporting the latest threads from a range of New Zealand high fashion brands, brought to life through Mr Montgomery’s less than conventional lens. Bringing together Fashion, Art and oddity in completely new format and setting.

Free hamburger has gone against the grain of the conventional format of fashion magazines by ditching the greasy gloss of VOGUE and the like, for the pure and raw, matt finish of newsprint, allowing readers to appreciate the raw beauty and emotion that under lies the art form. It has also done away with the droning commentary of cynical, overpaid columnists that (most of the time) end up taking away from the art form they try to represent. FREE HAMBURGER is two things only, RAW and FRESH.

Mr Montgomery’s lust for shock and awe guarantees that this ongoing publication is one to watch and will become a force for the rejuvenation of the sometimes worn-out contexts of fashion photography and bring a new and fresh approach to the fusion of fashion and art.
